Hi everyone!
So all winter we had a heat lamp in the coop for the ladies, around the time we started using the heat lamp is when they started using the roosting pole ( we got our ladies in September - didn't put roosting poles up until October- Heat lamp went in Nov) well today was the first night we have not had heat lamp and now the ladies are not up on the roosting pole when we went to close their coop door for the night, can the chickens not see in the dark ? is this why they are not up on the roosting pole? Just really strange they only use roosting pole when the heat lamp is on.
