I looked out my front window about an hour ago to see a single-file line of chickens strolling up my driveway toward the street! Needless to say, I ran out there and herded them back into the yard and CLOSED the gate (I obviously was a little careless this morning and left it open). I could just picture their little knapsacks over their shoulders! Right now they are back in the yard eating scratch - just to prove the food's better here than in the great outdoors.

That's too cute! Makes you wonder where they thought they were going?

Cute!

When I lived in South Austin I used to get calls from the neighbors 2 houses down the street- "your chickens are at the bus stop again......"
Don't know why they always went for the bus, they didn't have the fare because they don't have pockets!

Why do they do that? Mine seem to think the grass is greener at the neighbor's on both sides of us. I have to run them out of the herb garden next door, and their wood shed. Little brats don't realize this wandering will cease when the gardens get planted.

I love the bus stop thing. They might have had pockets you didn't know about. They're clever!
