we have a easter egger, and a silver laced wyendotte that we got around may 6th right about when they were born. (we used to have 5 chickens but 3 of them are roosters and our neighborhood doesn't allow that). they are both old enough to lay, but they don't. are they sick? is something wrong?

it seems that chickens always take forever to lay. my buff orpington just started laying and she was born late april. it also might be they are waiting til spring.

Pullets that come close to maturity this late in the year may be slower to start laying.

What all and how exactly are you feeding?
Do they free range?

Here's some tips about.....

here is a pic of them, they just eat growing freed from ifa, and we are out of food and need to get new food. should i get layer feed now even if they haven’t started laying?

They look close to me. Someone else referenced the extreme heat we had mid summer. That is the only thing I can think of, but my pullets are incredibly slow to start laying. I have 5 pullets that were hatched in April and May - just started getting two eggs occasionally. Slowest pullets ever. But really there is not a lot you can do but wait.

Waiting for the first egg takes nearly forever, however, waiting 21 days for chicks to hatch takes even longer!
