It was in the woods today foraging and I found out afterward that it's talon got ripped off, so far theres a smaller talon under it but its still small and bleeding, what do I do? Does this happen often? Are they supposed to regrow talons?

That is the living part of the nail (the quick), and the nail will grow back fairly normally if the quick is not damaged. This hurts and can get infected. It would be nice to bring this bird inside, clean up the nail bed, and keep it in a dry area (no mud or poop) - like a crate with clean wood chips/hay or a towel for a week until the quick is dry and healing. Other birds may try to peck at the quick if it is bleeding, so another reason to bring it in. Wound powder from a feed store may be helpful to put on it.
