Chickens tossed an egg?

Age is best expressed in weeks when talking about onset of lay.

Generally speaking hens begin to lay at around 6 months old, sometimes around 5 months old but that is more rare.

I’ve never heard of any laying at 3 months old. I suppose it could be possible in theory, but again I’ve never heard of it before so it would be extremely rare!

Ah, wow. I had early layers... most of them were laying at 4 months... some haven’t layed until last week, I guess all chickens are different, so...

That’s rare? Two of my chickens were laying at 3 months! Well, one at 3 and a half...
