I recently built a raised rabbit hutch. The droppings from the rabbits fall through underneath and I have noticed that my chickens like to peck and scratch around in that area now. Is there anything I should be concerned about with the chickens and rabbit poo?
The chickens dont seem to be eating the poo, just scratching and foraging in and around it. Part of me thinks this will be good for composting, since they will keep it turned. But I was not sure of any negative side affects.
Keep in mind, they don't live under the hutch, they just frequent it for a 30 mins or so when I let them free range and then they are on to their next spot.
Thanks for the advice.
