Chickens vs ducks ???

We've only had our birds for just under a year, we have two ducks (a male and female), and 6 hens with one roo. Mostly, I think the ducks are more work because of their needs for water, but their eggs are wonderful. Our chickens are a lot friendlier, but that might be because I raised them from one day one, but the ducks were a month old when they were given to us.

would it help with duck yuck in the pond by putting some fish in?

Not unless you like the smell of dead fish better than "duck Yuck" I don't think there is a fish alive that can survive on a weeks worth of yuck in a small pool!

I have had both ducks and chickens co mingling for years with no issues you just have to keep fresh water for ducks thats all
They will lay eggs just about anywhere including out on open ground
I personally like duck eggs over all
Imo the best all around duck is rouens big meat big eggs you get your money's worth from them and they dont fly away
