Chickens who hate snow and people who are tired of all this snow.
Rise your hand. Honk your horn. Shout it to the world! We people have had enough of the snow and cold. Last week it wa 72 degrees in Lex., KY. We thourgt Spring had sprung.
Yesterday we got snow sleet and rain! I want spring and summer so I can have something other than snow to complain about.

Amazing what a little sunshine will do! Yesterday during the snowstorm, they spent the first day ever inside the coop....all day. I kept wondering what was ailing them as they always prefer the outdoors regardless of the wind, snow or below zero temps.

BTW: They love the kiddie pool, but it's shallow, so I have to keep replenishing the peat moss as they kick and throw it out. Something a bit deeper would be better. But this is easy for them to get in and out of and as you can see, big enough for four.

I haven't got a kiddie pool yet, I'll keep an eye out for a deeper one. Still a good idea!

Thank you! My coop was built better than my house was! It was built in Oct for my first three hens. Within 2 months, I was rescuing 4 more. And as soon as the weather breaks and my coop guy can keep building, I'm rescuing 10 more. Never did I imagine that I'd ever have 17 rescued hens!

Its getting quite nice here in Manitoba. My chickens are going outside to play even tho some parts of my yard is like a slough. They stomp right through the water. Silly birds
