Chickens who want out!

My 5 ISA Brown hens want out of there run all of the time!!! I let them out every now and then but they tear up my landscaping and terrorize my garden. Whenever I am outside they run to the gate and beg me to let them out... If I go in the run to fill water/feed they try to sneak out under the gate... I figure they like being free but they make it seem like I am torturing them by keeping them in a run...... Are all chickens like this??

probably Mine are all ways in their run. Because I have so many it ould be impossible to keep track of all of them, also because we have hawks and eagles and a owl at night as well as coycotes.

I have one like this. It started after I began putting her in the chicken tractor. She LOVES it, so now she wants out all of the time. It isn't surprising since this is what they do naturally. She gets grass, worms, and bugs to eat, plus dirt to scratch in. What's not to love?

She figured out that when I went into the hen house to check on eggs, I left the door open ("I'm only going in for a sec", thought I). So, as soon as she saw me go in there, she ran up the ramp and zipped out the door. Now, I have to be very careful to close the door behind me. She still comes into the house, but is a very disappointed chicken now. She goes back into the run and squawks at me.
