chickens with a body image problem?

my gals (about 2 weeks old) wont eat in front of me... theyre in a wire rabbit cage in the bathroom, pine shavings, fresh food/water, great temp, etc... if i sit down and watch them, they stop cowing in the corner and run around but they just dont eat if im in the room. i tossed a strawberry in the other day and a few hours later it was gone, so theyre obviously eating.. just not in public. are they headed for therapy? or is it just them getting used to me still? they dont run shrieking from me when i reach in to hold them anymore so we're making pregress....

lol, i don't know! my chicks love to eat food that i take out of their feeder and sprinkle on a piece of 2x4 in their brooder. It always strikes me as funny, I mean its the same food they have available 24/7 but if I sprinkle it on a piece of wood they all come running and peck away like its a delicacy! you might want to try that.
