Chickens won’t roost on new roost

I had this issue when I introduced them to a new coop, I just had to constantly move them to the spot you want them in. It’s best to do it once it’s dark as they will then probably stay where they are as they don’t like to move around in the dark. Try also blocking off any places you don’t want them to roost.

I wonder if the roosts are too close to the wall? I think I would add an additional roost from one end of the L to the other end, kind of making a triangle.

What are the windows made out of? Are they screen or glass/ plexiglass? I'm wondering if the birds are in a draft when they're on the roosts?

On my phone they appear to be hardware cloth. My birds won't sleep in front of a drafty window.

The outside is plexiglass and the inside is hardware cloth for when the windows are open. No gaps inbetween window and frame once they’re put on the roost they stay there

Ramp does looks steep. If you can't extend the ramp, maybe you can lift up the edge that is on the floor and put something under it (to raise it, making slope less). We did that for ours.

See the only thing and i was thinking you’re idea too, They had basically the same exact one (slope and everything) that went into their old coop from the run and they knew how to use that one

Humm. Obstinate chickens. Are they staying on the roost, after they are put there?
