My chicks have been in their coop for about three weeks now. They coop door is open all day and only the Cochin roo will go outside. They have a big run and it is completely fenced. I thought they'd be dying to get out there!! Should I push them out and help them get used to it? They are 12 weeks old.

Push their chicken butts outside. They don't know any better.

Force of habit is a big reason why eggs advertised as coming from "free-range hens" are more than likely laid by hens who have access to a yard but never use it. They likely won't go outside without a really good reason.

I vote push them out! Gently
