chickens are a delight to have!

I have 10 chickens 4 are bantams their names are mr.meanie ,rosy the rooster,rosa hen and cuttie aka lil' hen. 2 buff orpingtons Boo boo and Blossom. two rhode island reds, Aussie and Dixie. And two black sex links, coco and buttercup. buttercup is mixed with RIR. idk.









im new to byc! if you have any ?'s about chickens ask me to answer them!

Welcome to BYC! You have a nice mixed flock. Black Sex Links are egg laying machines and actually they are all mixed with Rhode Island Red. Black Sex Links are hybrids produced by crossing Rhode Island Red roosters with Barred Rock hens. They are better layers than either parent breed and they can be sexed from hatching by color (males are whitish, females are reddish. You will get loads of large, brown eggs from them. Good luck with your flock.
