Todays Entry: so today i let all the chicks out in the run part of the coop we bought.. they seemed to really like it.. i let them out for about 2 and a half hours.. (i sat out there the WHOLE TIME with them watching roswell on my kindle fire) ill start doing this every day so when they are fully feathered in they will know that, that is their little home... (at least till their bigger, gonna convert the barn to a LARGE chicken coop)
We moved the coop & run to the grass... spread some chick feed along the grass and i closed the opening to the hutch/coop part so they could just enjoy the run...

they do!! however they dont like the inside of the coop only the run lol.. even today i put them outside with a heat lamp im the coop and some pine shavings and still they perferred to be cold and stay in the run... little boogers

Got my order of 3 Golden Comets and 4 Welsh Harlequins in this morning.YEAH!!!! So excited they all arrived healthy, happy and seem to be doing great!!!

Here's a pic of two of my little ones, will post me soon.

Chickens for backyard is a great place and if we order more chicks/ducks in the future we will DEFINITELY be ordering from them again!!!

What are the little fence like dividers for?

The coop??? is hardware cloth?? I'm not sure what Ur talking about.. before in their brooder box i separated their sand (where their water was) and their pine shavings (Where their food was) with pieces of a cardboard box and Lincoln logs... but as they have gotten bigger its all straight pine shavings now which i actually hate but it smells a whole lot better than using sand..
