So...I have this beautiful cochin/RIR cross chicken. Mary-Margaret is GORGEOUS black with the irridescent green tinged feathers, along with some neat copper tinged ones. 16-17 weeks old and very docile. I need to rehome her because she...is a HE! He sat his pretty self up on a log yesterday and crowed his little head off. So, unless hens crow... I already have a little D'Uccle roo and I can't part with him so...well, I can't part with either and though they are all fine free ranging now, my worry is come winter when they may be more confined to their coop and run

I hatched him and am sad to see him go...out of 6 eggs I got 5 ROOSTERS! Here is a pic of him with my only hen from that batch...

Would anyone here be interested? I could bring him to the next swap, or you could simply pick him up.

11 standard Leghorns- 10 pullets and 1 cockerel. half white and half are brown
Boys!- pure Barred Rock frizzle cockerel about 3 months old- sweet
Americauna bantam cockerel- sweet, red with grey beard
Cochin frizzle/barred rock cross cockerel- small, round barred frizzle, sweet
tiny, tiny serama red brown cockerel that loves to be with people
standard Americauna cockerel that isn't tame and doesn't play well with others -
deep red with black on the neck and grey beard.
Nankin roo- tiny, marmalade color rare bantam- sweet!
2 black cochin/old english cockerel crosses- fluffy, sweet and pretty

Wow, tons of roos this year!

I still have this BIG black/silver boy (4 months old), and a similar one who is younger, if anyone is interested. A pullet is also available to go with him. If not I will leave them home as to not stress them.

We are going to try to make Westford, but it's the 2nd Sunday so will see if there is a 4-H meeting. Oct. is the Deerfield show, we are still going to try to make that one too.

Just curious if anyone is going to be selling turkey poults at this up coming stock? Really looking for anything other than eastern wild and midget whites.
