I will give it another try! I just feel so bad when they are almost ready and they suffocate, drown or whatever they do in there eggs to die. It is heart breaking. Ya, my dog sets me into pannik/anxiety attacks. I actually have to take neds myself because of him. It all started with the dog and now there are a few other factors that set the attacks off so they put me on seixure meds cause they are thinking they could possibly be petite seizures...imagine, little delicate seizures on a big cow like me!

Petite mal seisures have nothing to do withe size lol ( not of the person and your not fat geesh)
petite mal means small attack
Grand Mal seizure mean large ( dangerous) attacks.
I have both varieties, not fun in either case, its a short circut in the brain, the electrons in the brain misfire, get confused, fire of in a disorganized pattern.
if you have been diagnosed with Fibro then it wouldnt surprise me this is happening.
the petite mal are the ones that most people call day breaming, you kind shut off for a few seconds, your there but your really not there so to speak. these little buggers are the ones that trigger panick attacks ( also knows as anxiety attacks)
Grand Mal seizures are the ones where you fall onto the floor shake , twist, convulse, twitch, and usually lose control of bodily functions.
these ones are the most dngerous because you can injure your self, have a stroke or heart attack.

My 7yo son has epilepsy that was just diagnosed last month. He started with absence seizures (beginning of April as far as we know) and then progressed to complex partial seizures. He ins on Depakote and doing much better.

Question ,, My yuoungest grandson has complexs seizures also. his is due to a head injury when he was 2,( fell through the bleachers at a fair ground , when they removed the catch net under them).
does your son have trouble with balance, coordination, walk with his head down, watching where his feet are being placed?( common for this type of seiuzure), IF so have his eyes checked, not for vision but for the muscles that are around the eye, there appears to be a direct connection to the eye muscles and the complex seizures.

oh my

to all of you,

My nephew used to have sezures when he was smaller, thank god grew out it, he would get them when ever he got fevers or a cold.

we were at a gas staion one time getting gas, he a car drove in and hit the gas pump and stopped, luckly he did not hit it real hard, but we looked over and teh guy driveing teh car was haveing a sezuire, some one called the emergency for him. taht was teh first time i saw someone go through that, it was horible, i felt so bad for the guy.

My Diva (cat) went through a sezuire on us 1 time, holy crap was i so afraid we were going to loose her, hubby new what it was , she hada hold of my finger ouch, hubby went and got a spoon open her mouth with it i got my finger out and held teh spoon there so she could not bite her tongue, and i help her head becouse she was abnging it into the cabinet.

she came through, whta happen with her was we used hearts flea drops on her and she had a alergic to it, i noticed she starting shivering so i bath it off her with dawn dish soap, but it must have already hit her blood line or soemthing.

Hmm. Interesting. Well my son's was not a result of head trauma. He had an MRI done of his brain done, which was clear... so no tumor or brain tissue scarring. He does complain about his eyes though. Once he said he saw triple, but only that one time though. Once he said that he felt like his left eye was shaking (it was at school so I didn't see, so I don't know if it actually was or not). I mentioned to his neurologist at his last appt but she didn't really say anything.

I think with triple vision and complaining of eye shakes I would be on the neurologist like fly on stink. obviously something is going on and they are not catching it or not willing to listen.
I had the same issue with my oldest granddaughter, doc now days dont listen to what the parent tells them and it makes me cranky, had they listened with cassi we may not have nearly lost her to diabetes when she crashed and was diagnosed.
dont let it go too long before jumping on the dr's insist they check it out thouroughly.
these complex seisures are not always caused by head trauma, they can come out of nowhere.

Wow, I missed out on a lot of posts. I wasn't getting email notifications so I figured the thread was quiet. I guess I forgot to check after my last notification...

darbella, are you measuring the humidity in the incubator or just in the room? This can make a huge difference. Humidity is actually relative humidity (r.h.), relative to how much moisture the air can hold at a given temperature. 50% r.h. air from a 70 degree room would give you less than 20% r.h. in a 100 degree incubator.
