ooooh, very pretty girl!! Her mom was darker mille fluer color all last summer, but this winter, she grew in lots more white feathers. Still not as much white as your little girl, but it's interesting that her color changed a bit on my girl. I think she turned a yr old around Christmas.
One of the new babies that hatched this December has a LOT of white on it, probably more white than your little girl. I'm thinking it might be a little roo, but it's keeping me guessing.

I'm figuring that keeping your chicks for you has helped my other Seramas stay warmer, having more bodies in the chicken tractor! The COLD has been a real pain, and my electric bill is definitely higher becasue i put the heat emitters in the tractor! I want to turn my carport into a garage (and maybe keep chickens in it, LOL.....but it's still in the planning stages and i'm running into snags, so we'll see how that works out.

I've got some very adorable SERAMA CHICKS. They are about 8 wks old now. If anyone is interested, please email me using the "email" button on here, and i can email you back some pics. Email is easier than uploading a bunch of pics.

The sparrows have been worse this winter than any I can remember. The only ways I can get rid of them is to cover the run with hardware cloth (with the small square holes) instead of chicken wire and seal all of the cracks in the barn doors that those varmints weasel under and through. They always manage to find a way in, but they forget how to get out and I have to chase them out with a broom.

The other way, is a hawk that comes around whenever the sparrows start to accumlate. After it catches one, the other sparrows disappear for a week or two but they always come back when the coast is clear.

The oegb has both eyes like they are completely normal. The black modern had his eye still closed, so I put the tylan drops in it and later wiped out some more gookies. They are both eating like pigs.
