That's why we haven't decided yet if we're going or staying. We'll decide around noon. There's always next weekend if it's bad.

We can pick up Darlene's birds one of these trips too. We'll definitely come for part of April vacation and the end of the month for the FEDCO tree sale.

What is the tree sale?? Sounds interesting!

Thanks for the link Dave! Woke up at 7am to see we had lost power at about 5am. Did not happen all winter, but now that I have brooders full of chicks it had to happen! Good thing my studio holds the heat from the furnace when it runs, so the temp drop was not too bad, went to 96 in the bator, so hopefully they will start to cook again. I think if we have more snow I am jumping off a bridge!

What kind of chicken do you all think this is? She's about 4.5 weeks old, a hatchery chick. I had ordered Salmon Faverolles, but she is not one. She is missing the fifth toes, and the foot feathering. Also, SF have single combs, but she has either a pea comb or a rose comb. She's pretty, but i have no clue what breed she is.

Could it be a milli oegb?

i think it is something full size, not bantam---she's keeping up in growth with all the other chicks who are all large fowl for my laying flock. We call her Mystery Chick! LOL

What color chick was she? All yellow or chipmunk?

Edited to add: And what hatchery?

all yellow like the salmon favs. Meyer. i might call them and see what they think it is.
