I bought, yes BOUGHT, the cutest little rooster today. he looks like a rumpless with the coloring of a faverolle roo. Then had to get another 2 dozen eggs cause iI have a new bator on its way and goodness knows, out of 100's of eggs, I will be lucky to get a dozne to hatch! If I have success with any of these I should have some interesting little bantam breeds. Now i am sitting here making bands so I can idnetify each breed as they hopefully hatch!!!!!

We did well today. Can't wait until the warmer weather gets here and stays.
I hope your little ones are ok Darlene. I came home to the sound of chirps coming from my new bator that I put into lockdown last night.
I am dying to see how many hatched. There are no windows to see how many hatch.

had a great day. always a pleasure to share my day with friends. greg left a pet carrier home so I would not buy anything

(after we got to the swap I figured out that he forgot one way in the back of the trailer).

I saw a bird that I really liked but it got sold before I had a chance to buy it.

very disappointing!!!

sooooo I talked to the new owner,she marked the bird up from what she paid for it 5 min before, and the cute (I hope little lady)

came home in the empty carrier!

QUESTION?????

If I take the chicks from the hen that went broody and hatched them out, will she continue to set on the remaining eggs and any new ones I sneek under her? I wouldnt take the babies away, but she keeps letting them get out of the "doghouse coop" and they cannot get back in and the crows are gathering for dinner! So I am thinking of taking them in to the brooder and hoping she will continue to set for me! She did such a good job at hatching! But as a mother hen...she's about to get fired! LOL

I don't know if she will continue or not but make sure she gets off the nest to eat drink and poop. Some lose alot of weight when they set because they won't get off the nest to eat. If she is not taking care of them, I would take them away and put them in a brooder. Its still real cold out for them if they cant get back in under her to keep warm.

I HOPE you didn't report me............

I have no idea where the post went! Even if I hit the report button on error, they would probably look at it like "what the heck is this nut reporting? The kind of eggs she bought! LOL" I have never hit the reprot button, doesnt a warning or something pop up like on ebay asking if you are sure you want to reprto something???

I don't know, I have never used it either.
