Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

🍄 Azawakh 🍄

The Azawakh is a breed of dog from west Africa. They where bred for hunting, but they soon became watch dogs due to lack of game in the region. Like most Sight hounds, the Azawakh is aloof, and refined. Although, they are deeply affectionate to their handlers. They require virtually no grooming. They need regular exercise but they aren't super intense. A run in a field or a brisk walk is all they need. They are stubborn, making them a bit hard to train. They stand 25-29 inches, and they weigh in at about 44-45 Pounds. In the U.S. the Azawakh is very popular in family homes, and on the lure coursing fields.
