love is love
Practice speak with him and just make it so that he's barking on command
Yeah, he speaks on command. He's just a poo face and cant keep quiet when hes bored.
So we went and worked on stuff, he's old now so he got tired fast, and when he's tired, he gets sloppy. We relearned the airplane trick, where I hold my arms out, deacon jumps over one arm, goes around me, and then jumps over the other. He was getting confused and started jumping over me (that hurt, alot)
its a really fun one! It didn't take that long for him to relearn it. I took two 5" PVC pipes I had, and then lined three laundry baskets behind me so he had a barrier to keep him moving, then I just asked him for a "over" and then lured him to the other arm. Soon I took away everything around me, no barriers, and he did it like hes been doing it for years. LOVE my smart boy! Then he started getting tired and wamed into my face bc he wasn't paying attention... I made him to it one more time the right way, then ended the training session. Over the next week, I'll be proofing that trick in other locations.
Before working on that trick, I had to tire him out. I knew if we went right into it, that in his confusion and exitment, he'd try and jump OVER me, and that never goes well. So I threw treats across the room, and did my favorite freestyle move (orbit then weaves) for awhile, THEN I did a new trick I taught him a few days ago, walk backwards around a pole a few feet away (I'll record this one on monday for you guys! Its fun!), and then did airplanes.

probably will not record airplanes for you guys, because it would be hard not to show my face.
