I *think* they take the older females that otherwise will be disposed of. Of course, to get then they likely have to buy then from the mill, which means they need to make that money back to continue next time.Hey! I wanted to ask if any of you have any experience with those "rescues" who mainly take dogs from puppy mills and sell them (often for a high price). Are any of these "real" rescue organizations? Do they do anything to shut down the puppy mills they're taking dogs from? I was looking for a specific breed and came across this rescue that took dogs from puppy mills. We asked about it and it seemed to me that every year they took dogs from the same puppy mills, but I could have misunderstood what the worker said. I did not buy from them. I felt very uncomfortable getting an abused dog for a high price from a rescue like that. What are your thoughts?
Yeah, I've seen mostly older females, but some puppies. So they are saving dogs by paying puppy mills. How is that different from buying from a pet store because you feel sorry for the dogs?I *think* they take the older females that otherwise will be disposed of. I could be wrong though
Because pet stores won't buy old shedogs and defective pups?Yeah, I've seen mostly older females, but some puppies. So they are saving dogs by paying puppy mills. How is that different from buying from a pet store because you feel sorry for the dogs?
