no. show collars are way thinner and prettier.

would a choke chain (not used for discipline) work for getting a puppy used to a metal slip lead, or should I just go with the thin nylon one we have?

its not formal and you don't have a show dog. I wouldn't bother much.

Are you doing it for fun? exposure to other dogs for finn? to learn to show goldens in the future?
