Leash not a good solution. Would still require my assistance, at least in my case. Like I said, she goes downstairs whenever she wants to cool off. And if I leashed her, I would have to go down and unhook her at the end of each ride. Also, still a safety issue. Disastrous if she hopped off mid-ride. Back to the drawing board!Crate was to prevent jumping... I’m sure that there could be some sort of mechanism you could do with a leash but idk

Hmm unless you could have it turn a corner at the bottom and top so that it’s out of the way and would only block when in useHmm yeah
Special harness that they wear around, clipping mechanism that holds the dog in place for the ride?
this whole concept would still need a platform, so it would probably only work on stairwells that are wide enough for a stair chair for humans
And cost might be prohibitive. Remember, we'd be doing this not for a human who might use it for 20 or 30 years, but for a dog who may only have two or three years left. A human stair chair runs about $2,000, I believe.Hmm yeah

That does not help it get up them, I think that causes quite the oppositethrow the dog down the stairs
solved!
You're so helpful!throw the dog down the stairs

Might be possible at the bottom. No room at the top.Hmm unless you could have it turn a corner at the bottom and top so that it’s out of the way and would only block when in use
I do my bestYou're so helpful!![]()
