This is true too! Even my lazy Great Pyrenees, Lab mix was OBSESSED with mice, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. and would even sit by stumps waiting for them to come out lol of course, he wasn’t very efficient and usually missed them running by but he tried
he tried to dig under stuff too but couldn’t fit under the coop for example lol

My dog has a prey drive not sure if it is high or not but she is really bad at telling where the rats or mice are, I don’t know if thats just her or a breed bred for ratting would be better at it.
