Yeah, but you're never going to have mottled columbian cochins
It's not currently an accepted color in Cochins, but mottling on a Silver Columbian chicken can exist and actually looks kind of pretty--it's like Mille Fleur, but with the black bits on silver (white) instead of on gold. This page has a photo:

And yes, it could become an accepted color in Cochins if enough people were willing to spend the time on it.

And we stack up color names all the time:
Blue Laced Red Wyandotte
Chocolate Laced Silver Wyandotte
Buff Columbian Wyandotte
Silver Partridge Cochin
etc.

I don't think the dog color names are any worse than the chicken ones, they just aren't the same as the chicken ones. Except for a few obvious ones, like "black."

I guess........I just feel like there's so many things that I could stack up with dogs.
