I think it's only poofy when people brush it up to show it better. They usually seem to look like that in most of the pictures I see onlineyes but I've only seen them with the poofy ridge but maybe im jus crazy

Oh wow that’s so interesting and funny hahahYes in some parts of Australia Dingos are very common and yes they can be kept as pets with a license if you are keeping pure dingoes....
its very common in some parts end up with a pup that has been bred with dingo.... my boy barks like a normal dog during the day... but howels and growls at night like a dingo.... it’s very comforting knowing that he looks like one breed sounds and acts like 2 breeds...lol... no one and nothing is game to enter my yard in pursuit of my chickens or ducks...
