Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Do Kooirkerhondje. I'm not positive but I think my family had one of these when I was growing up. My dad got him while my mom had taken us kids out of town for a couple of weeks to visit her family, and when we got home he had this black and reddish-brown puppy he had gotten from his Dutch friend. He had named the dig, get this, "Corky," which is what the beginning of this breed name sounds like. Sort of like "corky-hond-ye." He had the big white plumed tail and he was fascinated with our parakeet. He also had the distinctive "earrings."
I had forgotten about that breed :lau 🙈 I’ve always loved them though! They’re so cute! Never seen one around here though.

This gives me the willies. Have you trained a dog in basic obedience? Will it come when you call? If you have not done that, don't even think about teaching your dog to bite. If your dog bites someone, it may be confiscated by the authorities and quarantined to be sure it doesn't have rabies unless you can prove it is up to date on its shots. Even if it is, you may be liable for medical costs, both physical and emotional, for the person who got bit. Don't do it!
Don’t worry I am not going to train it to bite, what I wanted to know is how to train a dog to be non-aggressive around strangers but still wary

Thinking that because both major candidates for dogs right now are pretty high strung, it could be fun to set up some agility obstacles for them (after we know which one we're getting, of course)

Does the yard have to be level for that?

How big do things like dog walks and A-frames have to be?

I'm thinking I could start with a tunnel, weave poles, a jump, and an A-frame
Maybe a tire jump because they're so fun lol

Then again, they sell these handy dandy kits so I could probably start with these
