My dog and cats have multiple names they come to, some names work better then others.Seriously? You can just do that? Won't they get confused?
Yeah for sure or even maybe 5? But puppies and younger dogs adapt readily. Especially since often times the name is just one the shelter gave them and they aren’t even called by itI just started calling my dog by her new name. I think if the dog is too old then it might be best to keep its old name, around 9 years old is when I would not change the name.
