Usually if I tell people that it doesn't shock the dogs, it just gives a little stimulation, they are cool with it. I can't afford one but I used to have one before it broke, and I'd walk right up to people and stim myself. When they saw I had no reaction they didn't mind me putting it on their dog..

the e-collar is bascially a long line without the hassle. When you have a dog on a leash you can give them a little tug as a reminder to come back. The e-collar does the same. It just tightens the muscles and if anything, its slighly uncomfortable.

Yeah I wouldn’t get the collar without asking nor if they don’t already have one but the long line I think would be fine.

Yeah true! But some people get weird about it hah plus some dogs do ignore them

Idk why people get weird about it. I think everybody should own one and know how to use it. The E-collar is just insurance for a off leash dog.

I think its a good safety net. If your dog tries to run away it will be promptly stopped. Paired with recall and barrier training you should be well off.
