Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Why are they cropped?
I just think that it looks not great and also isn't very nice
I get docking tails on herding breeds so that sheep don't step on them, that has a purpose
but I've never known the purpose of cropped ears

Cleaner ears
decreased changes of ear infections

the only cons are, it hurts for like three days afterwards

if you are willing to put a dog through a spay or a neuter , you shouldn't be opposed to ear cropping

both have valid reasons, and both are painful.

Not opposed to it as a practice, but consider it unnecessary on pet dogs (similar to dubbed combs on gamefowl- if you're showing them, I've got no issue with it, but seems kinda unnecessary for your backyard rooster)

the more I think about it the more I dont have ANY idea what dog breed I want

I think poodles are cool but I just GUSH at Am staffs.. they are just.. so pretty..
I’m the same way. Every time I think I have it narrowed down, I find another perfect breed or add an eliminated one back in the mix haha
