I'd recommend playing games where he has to find you, a toy, or a treat. For finding you, have one person hold him, hide in an obvious spot, and say 'Find me!" reward him when he finds you, and make it progressively more difficult. Toys are the same, but you have them find the toy instead of you. With treats, get multiple boxes and have him find which box the treat they're in, first right way up, then upside down. Later you can scramble the boxes to make it harder.
