Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Enrichment and releasing oxytocin.

Are you doing down-stay in his crate? if not I could see why he is confused. Kibble for treats sounds best if he is so excited.

Here is how i did it

Sorry if my post was confusing. I'm not teaching him down stay in his crate, I just want him to be able to down-stay on his bed or just on the floor. :)

When did this start?
He ate he piece of silicone two days ago (at approximately this time of day)
He vomited in the afternoon of the 6th (the day that he ate the silicone)
He then vomited again yesterday afternoon, at around 3pm, then again at 6:30pm or so, and at 7:00pm. He hasn't vomited since then, though.
Could he have eaten a larger piece of this silicone, resulting in a blockage?
That was my initial thought, but I watched him and he did his business like usual.
Does he seem to be in pain at all or depressed?
Not right now at least, though he definitely didn't seem to enjoy the vomiting part (though who does?)

I think maybe that he's feeling better now, but I'll continue to keep a close eye on him. Sorry for the late reply!

@chickentrains I really need your help! Thanks in advance!

I just adopted a young dog. (5 months). We have another dog that lives with us. (7 months)
They are both females. They don't get along at all! We tried everything we could think of. We even introduced them carefully and the right way. Even at the dog park they fight. Very nastily. Please help! I want to keep her!

I'm not an expert at all with dogs (I don't even have one of my own) but which dog (of the ones pictured) is the problem dog? How recently did you get her? How were they introduced?

They're both problems, but the brown one (Sydney) is the new dog. We got her last night. She's on a slumber party with us, so we only have 2 days left to decide if we want to adopt her or not. 😭 We introduced them outside, on leash, walking far apart, and then slowly coming together. They sniffed each other and were fine. (at the shelter).
In the car they barked a little, then at home they just got real nasty and are trying to attack each other.

Wow I wish I had some advice to give you but I'm lost in that situation. I've never had two females at the same time. But maybe your other dog is jealous of Sydney. I hope it works out. Maybe they just need to get used to each other.

I'd give the second dog back, or hire a behaviorist.
