Chickie Eye Problems

It's my very first time raising chickens and I ended up with a group of 5 day old chickies today of mixed breeds. One of them is runty, smaller than the rest. It seems to have splayed leg and as the night wears on, it keeps scratching one eye and keeping it closed. It is eating and drinking well, so long as I keep showing it where both the food and water dish are. It's more than happy to be held and likes sleeping ALOT. When it walks, it seems to do so, rather diagonal with head tilted in the direction it can see out its good eye. The other eye is really red, seems rather swollen or watery.

Anyhow...suggestions on what the problem is? How to correct it? Predicted outcomes?

I'm totally a novice and have concerns on what seems to be a very problematic chick.
