I think I'll give that a try. I've tried other snacks for my little ones, but they may be a bit picky. Cuties.

(wonder if anyone noticed I put snakes instead of snacks the first time...woops.)

They've been going at that clump of grass for hours now!

Their other favorite is plain yogurt. They got that the first few days because they had a really tough time in the mail. (I lost 22 of 26 chicks due to them being chilled.)

you lost 22 of them? That totally stinks. Was it because of the way they were shipped? I would want to hold someone accountable for that kind of loss....if it was someone elses fault of course.

California of course!! I wondered where someone found a clump of grass in the middle of winter. I'd get all excited if I saw one too.

I like your Hamburgs. I am going to get a shippment in April. I am expecting a hamburg hen. They sure are pretty! Ohh!! how are the three that are left? Are they the ones int he video or are these a new shippment?

I've got four Hamburg girls left, and they're doing great. They are the yellow and black chicks in the video. I noticed last night that they suddenly had itty bitty tail feathers. You can tell how much smaller the Hamburgs are, though. The Barred Rocks as day olds were as big as the Hamburgs are now...except for the fat Hammy my daughter named Light Bulb.
