How do you get your chicks to like you?

Treats- lots of treats. The way to a chickens heart is definately through their tummy!

We really didn't pick our chicks up much but the kids would have them eating from their hands. But now when we go to the pen, they all come gathering around our feet for treats. They don't like being picked up though, but that's fine since I have no desire to hold any of them.

Lots of handling and lots of treats! I got a pair of mille fleur d'uccles that were already a month old and terrified of human hands. Two weeks later after a lot of cuddling in a towel and treats, I can easily pick them up, hold them, and hand-feed them.
