Chickies and grubs

I have done a lot of digging in the past two days and turned up about a dozen grubs. I put them in with the 2 week old chicks and they devoured them, regardless of the grub's size. It is too early to find many bugs, in fact we are getting half a foot of snow today, but they do like the grubs.

Be sure to give the chicks a saucer of sand or such so they can have grit for these mealworms.

Thanks, I'll do that. They were pretty well coated with soil as it was snowing when I dug the trench.
