Last night, around 8:00, I brought home 4 baby chicks!
After about a week of looking around, I found somebody who lives about 20 minutes away who had quite a lot of chicks/pullets/keets/ducklings. They all seemed to be in good health too, which was great.
I tried my best to pick out the girls...being that they were just 24 hours old.
I tried the wing feather/sex-link thing...hope it worked!
Here they are: 2 Rhode Island Reds( one is the loudest, the other one is very curious...), 1 Buff Orpington (the calmest/cuddliest, camera shy), and 1 Barred Rock (the smallest) whose name is officially Chuck Norris, Norris for short ( was the bfs idea
).
My fast and cheap brooder...
Norris taking a drink
All of the babies eating
A line of tired chickies!
