Chickies cured my depression

Lol...my chicks are 6 weeks old and I just witnessed the first dust bath. Definitely made me smile. When I clean the coop every morning the little stinkers hop around all over the place kicking dust up in my face (I have sand in my coop) and today one grabbed a hold of my sweatshirt drawstring and tugged on it, must've thought it was a worm.

If you have long hair and bend down, they like to tug on that too. Chickens are amazing, and like you I go to my chicken when I am down or depressed. They make me smile and laugh. My kids and I have so much fun with them. My daughter carries them around like babies and they just love her, running right to her every time she comes out. Um, is there a chickens anonymous because I most definite have a chicken addiction!

I found that out just now. I had my hair in a low side pony tail and got a piece yanked out...lol.

Once you start taking care of chickens, you forget about yourself. Getting up early in the morning to feed and nurture animals is a great way to start the day.

Had a nice day yesterday. Got some improvements done on the coop, chicks moved and sorted. And sold 3 chicks today! The weather is suppose to be very nice tomorrow and Tuesday and I want to do some more work on the coop. It is so nice to have a hobby !
