I moved the 'bachelors' to the chicken coop a week ago and kept the 3 hens in the extra large brooder inside with a window to the 4 week old maran chicks. I'm looking for homes for the 9 bachelors already out there plus whatever cockerels there are in the maran batch.
Anyway. The first few nights the gang slept on the floor of the coop. When I went to check on them tonight, they were all snuggled up on the roost! So cute.
Looks like they have spent 2 other nights up there. I'll have to stay out as they put themselves to bed to see how they are getting up there an arranging themselves.
