Nope. Waffles is a BeefBuilder. A BeefBuilder is when you cross a dairy cow with a beef bull. All my cattle are BeefBuilders.

I noticed that that is super popular right now. Th dairy farms by us have been doing that mix and selling all calves straight off. All fresh young bull calves are going for $1,500 or more by us.
We raise a bunch of beef cows. Most are Lowline Angus, with Angus and some random mixes as well. I believe most Beefbuilders fathers are an Angus bull.

Non cattle farmer here. What is the market for these crosses? Dairy or beef? Or are they some mixed purpose thing?

They are for meat. BeefBuilders look a lot more like beef then dairy so they aren't for milking. Some people have them since the beef market is really high now so instead of having a worthless dairy steer they have BeefBuilders

Yeah the sires of our BeefBuilders are Angus or Limflex.

Right now I have 4.5 cows.

Toffee is my only cow. Toffee's mom was a lineback and she looks just like her mom. She had her first calf this spring. When Toffee was a calf she looked a lot more dairy then beef so I showed her as a dairy calf and she won Grand Champion.

I have Checkers. Checkers is a bald faced heifer and she will calve for the first time in the spring.

I have Waffles. Waffles is my only steer right now. I'm going to show waffles in the market class this summer for 4-H. I showed him in the calf class last summer and he won Reserve Champion.

I have Nugget. Nugget was the first calf born at my house and her mom was the cow that my sisters share so me and my brother bought Nugget from our sisters and each own half of her that is how I have a half cow.

I also have Tootsie. Tootsie is Toffee's younger sister she is 2 years younger then Toffee.

These are the names of my siblings cattle.
