I feel like a bad momma making my babies sleep outside in the coop. They have been going out in the coop/run just about every day for the last week or so and loved it. They are about 6 1/2 weeks old and they were ready but I wasn't sooo I went and got 6 more babies. 3 mixed bantam and 3 black sex link. Thinking I have 3-4 roos out of the first 6 anyways. Hope I sleep tonight just checked on everyone and they're all quiet..

I have 6 chicks that will be 5 weeks this week. I put them in the coop the last two days. Brought them in both nights even thou it suppose to be 53 degrees tonight. I'm a worry wort so not quite ready to leave them out. They do love it during the day.

I think the first night is the hardest

They have been outside the last 2 nights without issues. Today they were on the roosting bars. So cool. Didnt have my camera. It seems more feathers are sprouting. I'm not sure if I should lev them over the weekend, it's suppose to be in the 30s and 40s at night. I don't use a heat source.

I got my 4 pullets from Meyers and there was an egg in the box from the Leggorn when I opened it. So excited. My 8 week old chicks are more aggressive towards these new 16 week old ones. I was worried about the bigger ones picking on the younger ones. I guess they feel invasion of their home.
