I wouldn’t think that has anything to do with it. I have had hens start laying from 16 to 20 weeks most of them as a matter of fact but there have been others that didn’t lay till 24 to 28 weeks I have herd of longer periods here on this site kind of depends on the breed and the bird. It will probably be soon hang in there, what kind of chickens are they? I would also give oyster shell on the side in a separate container not in the feed that way they can have what they need when they want it.

Could be any day for the Dominique, I think 20-24 weeks is pretty normal for them! Has her comb started turning really red yet? I agree that you might put the Oyster Shell on the side instead of mixed in. That way the ones who need it can get what they want. I'm not sure on the bantam.
