Yes, sorry, it is a RIR, Suprise, Suprise. I had two eggs I didn't mark and I thought they were out of Blue Boys pen but obviously I got side tracked and had one out of the RIR pen which is next to BB's pen. Sure is pretty isn't it. I will move them to a larger brooder box tomorrow.. I am pretty excited about the BB offspring. I am trying to wait and not hatch anymore Blues till I can use Charlie Blue. It will be about two months hopefully.

I had seven eggs that didn't hatch. When I broke them open they yolks had not absorbed so I don't know why. So 16 eggs hatched. All of Blue boys. A few black Orps and a few White silkie eggs did not hatch.

Wow they are too cute! I cannot wait till I have some of your fluffy butts running around. Ok well a few more fluffy butts. I got Katy's 3 silkies this weekend. I will have to take some pictures...we have 2 boys for sure so I am hoping for some girls!

If I wasn't going out of town tomorrow i would try and take some silkie chick pics of the ones that hatched. They are sort of hidden under the bigger birds but oh so cute.
