Chick's anal cavity closed up due to the pecking of other chicks.

What are you using for a brooder? How many square feet on the floor of the brooder? What are you using for heat? What is the temp under the heat source, and at the other end of the brooder? How old are these chicks? How many? The bigger question to answer is why are they pecking each other and causing injury. I also wonder if you have some issues with pasty butt going on. This can be caused by too much heat, or temp fluctuations. Chick aggression can also be caused by them being too warm.

I build my own brooder. Its 1m x 1/2m for 3 chicks at the most. Using a infra red light. Enough space to to move if it gets to hot under the light. It doesnt happen a lot. And it is only the Ringnecks that peck the others....and they are known for cannibalism. I know heat makes them aggressive.
