I just recieved chicks on Tuesday. This is our first foray into the wild world of poultry, and so far, so good! [IMG]

I expect I'll be spending a lot of time on this forum, depending on the kindness of others to see me through this!

We fertilized our yard 4-6 weeks ago, do I need to be concerned about letting the peepers run around in the grass for a little while?

    Thanks for any input!
(i guess i'm your typically neurotic first time chick mama!) (is it just me, or were human babies easier? maybe i had instinct on my side!)

Hi, Welcome to the site. I am recently new myself. We have only had chickens since April, but already purchased the second brood. You will hear often how addicting owning chickens is , and it is! I cannot answer your fertilizer question, but wanted to say that people are very nice and encouraging on this board. If you don't get a reply keep trying or move it to another location. (I can't think of the work I want!) There is tons of info available here too, I have already learned so much. Keep reading!
