chicks and loud noise

Actually, they don't seem to mind. they sleep during the time I did it before. I don't want something to hurt them though, either.

I do not think the noise will injure your chicks.
And even if it did hurt their ears, I've read that chickens can regrow cells inside their ears, so hearing loss is not permanent for them the way it is for people.

And you already know they act fine, so I don't think you need to worry about the music causing any problems for your chicks.

If your neighbor who is THREE DOORS DOWN can hear your music, it's definitely too loud for your chicks, not to mention your neighbors who live closer.
I agree. At that point I’d honestly be worried about them in general but Particularly their hearing. They are way more sensitive to low frequencies than humans.

I only have 4 neighbors and 2 of them ask me to turn it up, 1 cant hear it, and one is an a$$hole.

IM over 60 and have had surgery on both ears (genetic defect) and wear hearing aids. SOme of my hearing loss is to loud noise, diesel engines. Just saying loud noise past a certain decibel and i don't remember anymore the threshold, will hurt your ears. You may not notice it. It takes time then you will.
Do whatever up to you.
Good Luck to you and your chickens.

Are you sponsored by a hearing aid company or what?
