I just got my chicks two days ago ( I am new at this with chicks) I have 13 chicks and they all are really doing good, I just have this one little runt that never stops peeping... I hold her and she cuddles up in my hand and goes to sleep, but I can't hold her 24/7. she doesnt seem to be picked on and the others are very active and not crowding under the light. This little one seems to stay under the light most of the time but will venture out a little. Can anyone help me help her? she doesnt sound happy! But doesnt seem sick either.

Sometimes chicks fail to thrive. Usually the loud peeping is a sign of distress. You can try giving her a boost with vitamins in the water (if you aren't doing that already), or perhaps some egg yolk mixed with a little chick starter. Then you just have to hope for the best. I lost a few loud peepers with my chick order, but there are plenty of success stories out there too.
Good luck with her!

sounds like she just needs more heat than the others, especially if she is a little smaller. she probably wants to snuggle with others but it's too hot for them under the lamp directly and too cold for her when she's not under the lamp. not sure how to fix that tho...sorry can't be of more help
