Due to the weather, my new chicks are housed in my bathroom and everytime someone opens the door they would get upset and pile up in on one end of the brooder screaming. I thought I would put a radio on softly with the local country music station on for a mix of music and talk so they wouldn't be so startled. The reaction I got was not what I expected....They all lay down and go to sleep! Is this normal? Am I overstimulating them? Is that possible?

but, I don't want to ruffle the hubbies feathers, since it is his bathroom too! I'm just amazed that playing music can calm them so much. I'm going to miss them next week when they move outside to the coop!
