The chicks are 9 days old today. I’ve read about the schedule you should keep, the first week 95°, the second week 90°, and so on. Here in Texas...right now with this time of year that’s almost impossible to do. We’re having hundred degree days and there’s no way to just keep bringing the temperature down unless I bring them into the house and into air conditioner, they have been in the garage. I caught them panting this afternoon and it kind of scared me and took me by surprise. I actually have a fan blowing on the chicks to try and help keep it cooler down around 90°. Should I just bring them in the house and then use their eco glow brooder to help keep them warm. I’m one of those hormonally challenged women and I usually keep the house about 68 so I would definitely have to use the eco glow brooder for them. Their coop and run are going to be under two trees so pretty much in the shade all the time for the summer. Not sure what to do.
